This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of outdoor gear maintenance. We all know how expensive outdoor gear can be and how much we beat it up when we are having fun in the outdoors. When something breaks, we sometimes can not just go out and buy another expensive one. Hence, the reason why we are introducing a gear maintenance workshop through CorpsTHAT.
It is where you will be taught how to fix different types of gear, including but not limited to a punctured sleeping pad, broken zipper on your expensive Arc’teryx rain jacket, puffy jacket with some rips, and cleaning and upkeeping your water filtration system or cooking stove. This workshop will be taught in American Sign Language by an experienced Deaf Outdoor expert and handy-person who will share tips on maintaining your gear and saving your money.
