ABOUT CorpsTHAT
CorpsTHAT, is a volunteer, Deaf and Disabled run 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Baltimore, MD. Founded in 2016 by two AmeriCorps and conservation corps alumni to make the outdoor and conservation fields not only more accessible but also more inclusive. In the last 5 years CorpsTHAT has supported in hiring over 130 Deaf and hard of hearing corps members, educated over 200 Deaf students in stewardship, and reached over 1,000 Deaf community members through recreation experiences and education.
WHY SOLFEST?
Sol Fest is CorpsTHAT’s annual fundraiser that incorporates getting outside and celebrating the sun during the month of December while raising money to support Deaf outdoor programming.
HOW TO SOL FEST?
Our fundraiser is a Trail-A-Thon, which means you can pledge for every $X donated to your page, you will spend X amount of hours outdoors, or X miles spent hiking, biking, meditating, or whatever outdoor activities that suits your interests!
Join CorpsTHAT to help raise money for their conservation corps programs by registering for Sol Fest! By registering, you can set your own goal to raise money and challenge yourself to pledge a set amount of outdoor activity per amount of money raised! As you collect donations and get outside to complete your hours or miles you will chance to win Sol Fet prizes and swag to thank you for your support
WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
100% of your Sol Fest donation goes directly to CorpsTHAT’s conservation corps and outdoor programming. This year, raising $25,000 will enable CorpsTHAT to continue training and hiring 15+ Deaf adults to work outdoors in National Forests and National Parks through our conservation corps crew and internship placement programs.
