American Sign Language Level 1 is our beginning course. This level is for students who have little to no previous knowledge of ASL. Students will begin to learn basic conversational skills and introductory vocabulary. In this class, you’ll learn how to communicate with Deaf people while working, recreating, or volunteering in the outdoor field. Our ASL 1 courses are taught by a native Deaf ASL signer who has extensive experience working in the outdoor fields, and will be able to adjust teaching styles and topics to fit the needs of the students.

CorpsTHAT’s ASL courses use Zoom to meet virtually twice a week and use Google Classrooms for submitting assignments outside of class time. You will need a google account or gmail email address to register.

5 Week ASL Courses are $250 per student per course. Sign up for all 4 ASL course levels in our series and save $100. To register use the google form below.
