CorpsTHAT's Individual Placement Internship Program - APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN.
Our Internship Program provides Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and late Deafened young adults with hands-on experience, professional development, and mentorship opportunities within the outdoor and conservation fields.
CorpsTHAT's mission is to connect the Deaf community and the outdoors through recreation, education, and employment opportunities. Through this internship program, participants gain practical conservation experience while developing leadership skills, building professional networks, and exploring career pathways in natural resources, public lands management, outdoor recreation, environmental science, and conservation.
Interns receive support from CorpsTHAT staff, Deaf mentors, and host-site supervisors throughout the program while gaining valuable field experience on public lands.

Join CorpsTHAT’s Internship Placement Program this fall, to gain the skills you need for a career in conservation and natural resources. Interns will work with the Green Mountain National Forest and local partners to complete conservation, education and outreach projects.
Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps - Crew Leaders
Are you ready to lead, inspire and make a difference this summer? The Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps is looking for dedicated Field Leaders to supervise, mentor and guide high school crews as they tackle conservation projects.
As a field leader, you will gain invaluable leadership and management experience, build professional networks, and positively impact the lives of young people while helping to protect and preserve public lands.
Summer Leaders serve for a total of nine weeks for the position. This includes paid in-person pre-season training and a post-season debrief requiring travel and overnight stays at a training site. Detailed information will be provided in advance of the start of the position. Leaders must be available and able to complete all in-person components of pre-season training and post-season debriefing periods.
Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps - Corps Member
The Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps American Sign Language Inclusion Crew engages those who are deaf and hard-of-hearing in meaningful conservation projects. The program is offered in partnership with the Student Conservation Association and the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
