Preparedness Systems: Building Effective First Aid Kits - 0.2 CEUs Offered
October 7th from 7p to 9p EST
Being prepared starts before an emergency happens. Learn how to build and adapt first aid kits for day hikes, backpacking trips, outdoor programs, conservation projects, and other activities where medical resources may be limited.
We’ll look beyond simply creating a list of supplies and explore how activity, environment, group size, trip length, and access to emergency care should influence what you carry and how you organize your kit.
What you'll explore:
Personal and group first aid kits
Essential outdoor supplies
Adapting kits for different activities
Environmental and location considerations
Group and program preparedness
Creating an effective first aid system
