Join us for a CorpsTHAT Volunteer Event with Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. We will be marking storm drains with warnings to keep trash and pollutants out of the storm drains in Northeast Philadelphia.
Save the River and Bay- Storm Drain Marking Day
April 19th at 1:30 - 3:00 PM
Rhawnhurst - Pelbano Recreation Center: 8101 Bustleton AVE Philadelphia, PA
Many people have no idea that storm drains flow to local waterways and unfortunately, many people use them as their personal trash can. Since Philly gets all of its drinking water from local rivers, it’s extremely important for everyone to do their part and keep the inlets free of litter, pet waste, and harmful chemicals. Did you know, there are roughly 75,000 inlets throughout the city of Philadelphia?
Join CorpsTHAT to learn more about the importance of keeping our waterways clean, experience what kind of work our Conservation Crews do during the summer and give back to your local community!
