ASL Class F: ASL 1.0 (in person)

ASL I (4-Week Course)

This course will meet in person on Wednesdays, 3:30–5:00 PM EST, from October 1 to October 22, 2025. A make-up session will be scheduled the following week if needed.

Course Overview:
ASL I is designed for students with little to no prior knowledge of American Sign Language. In this course, you’ll build foundational conversational skills and vocabulary while learning how to communicate with Deaf and hard of hearing individuals in outdoor, recreation, and volunteer settings.

Our ASL I courses are taught by a native Deaf signer with experience in the outdoor field, ensuring lessons are engaging, accessible, and tailored to student needs. This 4-week class is a condensed version of our typical 5- or 10-week ASL courses, created to fit a variety of schedules.

What’s Included:

  • In-person weekly sessions

  • Opportunities to socialize with classmates

  • Access to a virtual ASL practice meetup

Cost: $100 per student
