American Sign Language Level 4- is our Intermediate-Advanced course. This course is for students who have taken our previous courses or are confident in basic interactions in ASL and are wanting to focus on outdoor terminology and topics. By the end of this course, students will be able to begin to comfortably carry on conversations on topics that are commonly discussed in the outdoors, expand their extensive outdoor-related vocabularies, communicate more efficiently in emergencies like wilderness medicine, a more advanced understanding of ASL grammar and syntax, Deaf culture and etiquette tailored to outdoor settings, and so much more. Our ASL courses are taught by a native Deaf ASL signer who has extensive experience working in the outdoor fields and will be able to adjust teaching styles and topics to fit the students’ needs.
CorpsTHAT’s ASL courses use Zoom to meet virtually twice a week and use Google Classrooms for submitting assignments outside of class time. You will need a google account or gmail email address to register.
5 Week ASL Courses are $250 per student per course. Sign up for all 4 ASL course levels in our series and save a total of $200 or sign up for 2 courses at a time to save $100 total.
