The 2020 Fall Young Adult program will run from September 11th to October 14th. Corps members and leaders are hired for one 4-week session. After several days of training, they will travel as a crew to projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, working 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Work activities include managing natural resources in parks and public lands and participating in daily training and education. Leaders and members will be away from home for the entirety of the programm, camping with their crew at different project sites. Weekends and evenings are filled with recreational activities such as canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, games, backpacking, visiting historical places, meeting Deaf and hard of hearing professionals in outdoor and conservation fields, and more. At the end of the program, members and leaders will receive training and support in applying for outdoor, recreational and conservation jobs.
