Sol Fest 2018

We at CorpsTHAT cannot express our gratitude enough to all the supports we received at our first annual Sol Fest. As the shortest day of this year is quickly approaching, we celebrated the warmth of our natural world and CorpsTHAT by inviting our fellow community members to join us and share all the moments we had with CorpsTHAT’s various activities throughout this year.

Our first annual Sol Fest was a bright success!

Sophia Hu walks to sit back down after CorpsTHAT founders, Sachiko Flores and Emma Bixler, thanked her for all her work as an Outdoor Ambassador.

We want to take the time to thank-

Streetcar 82 for making sure everyone had a great time, Alicia Wooten at Wild Bluebonnet Shop for donating CorpsTHAT pins to our guests, Shoppers for making a food donation, and Pizzeria Paradiso for donating two gift certificates to our raffle.

We also need to thank our 2019 interns, Mel Bowman (Gallaudet University) and Katie Clipp (Towson University) for joining early to help out with Sol Fest, making sure this event was a success!

Last but not least!  We couldn’t have done it without all our supporters!

CorpsTHAT is run-by volunteers, and we would not be successful without the support and commitment from everyone who has attended our events. We thank each and every one who joined us to celebrate.  With their help, CorpsTHAt’s first Sol Fest has raised over $1,500!

This money will go towards:
-Continuing Outdoor Ambassador events in the DC region and expanding events nationally;
-Creating more internship positions and job training opportunities for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in the outdoor field; and
-Expanding our environmental education programs and developing a environmental education curriculum for Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth

Looking forward to more great events in 2019.

Thanks to our sponsors:
