Partner Crew: Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps

Pittsburgh, PA  |  July 6th – August 13th

CorpsTHAT is partnering with the PA Outdoor Corps to create more conservation job opportunities for Deaf youth in the state of Pennsylvania.  We are looking for qualified applicants to lead Outdoor Corps summer crews in State Parks and Forests throughout Pennsylvania. Crew Leaders train, supervise, and administer crews of 10 high school students, ages 15 to 18, on a variety of outdoor work projects, including trail construction, habitat restoration and park maintenance. This is a DAY CREW meaning leaders and members return home after work everyday. (with a possibility of camping some of the projects)

Crew Leaders: 1

Ages: 21+

Dates: June 14-August 16th

Pay: $700/wk

Corps Members: 5

Ages: 15-18 (or currently in high school)

Dates: July 6-August 13th

Pay: $12.50/hr | 37.5hr/wk

  • Crew will meet every morning at a designated spot based on public transit access and distance to members homes.
  • Projects will be completed in state and local parks in the greater Pittsburgh area.

This crew is formed in partnership between CorpsTHAT, Student Conservation Association and the Pennsylvania outdoor corps.
