This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of bike maintenance and how to do a pre-ride inspection. We know that bicycles can be pretty daunting with gears, chains, and a bunch of moving parts, but in this beginner workshop, we will break down these things into pieces that are easy to understand. We will cover topics including but not limited to brakes, fixing flat tires, greasing a chain, cleaning a bike, and different types of bicycles and their purposes. This workshop will be taught in American Sign Language by an experienced Deaf cycling expert and a handy person who will share tips on maintaining your bike and saving your money.
