Have you always been intrigued by the idea of hiking? Hiking is a wonderful way to experience the outdoors. Through hiking, you can build your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health. If you’re a beginner with hiking adventures, this workshop will cover the basics of hiking. The topics will include the basics of how to plan by using all the different resources that are out there, hiking gear, what to eat while on the trail, and how to minimize your impact while you’re hiking.Â
Get all of your questions answered by a Deaf outdoor instructor in ASL so that your next excursion can be a fun, safe, and successful one!Â
All workshops are taught in ASL by a Deaf Outdoor Professional. We at CorpsTHAT believe that financial need should not be a barrier to accessing the outdoors. If you are Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled or Hard of Hearing please and need financial support to take one of our courses please email courses@corpsthat.org for a scholarship application.
** Workshops will run with a minimum capacity of 3 students. If you register and on the start date of the course there are only 2 participants registered you will receive your money back, otherwise all sales are final.Â
