ASL Level 2: Class C M/W 6pm
January 11, 2021$500.00
This course meets on Monday and Wednesday 6-7pm EST for 10-weeks starting on January 11th and ending on March 15th with a make-up course date on March 17th if needed. Classes will not meet on January 18th in honor of MLK Day.
American Sign Language II students will refine their use of basic sentence types, and try out their skills through interactions, such as giving and receiving directions. Our ASL II courses are taught by a native Deaf ASL signer who has extensive experience working in the outdoor fields, and will be able to adjust teaching styles and topics to fit the needs of the students. By the end of this course, students will be able to confidently carry on conversations on topics that are commonly discussed in the outdoors, expand their extensive outdoor-related vocabularies, communicate more efficiently in emergency situations like wilderness medicine, a more advanced understanding of ASL grammar and syntax, Deaf culture and etiquette tailored to outdoor settings, and so much more.
This course will meet for one-hour long class twice per week, and have a maximum of eight students.
