This course is intended for students who have already taken our ASL 1 and ASL 2 course. The course will meet on Monday and Wednesdays 6pm – 7pm EST for 10-weeks starting on April 4th and ending on June 8th with a make-up course date the following week if needed.
American Sign Language III is for students who have already taken our ASL I and ASL II courses, or have a basic knowledge of ASL vocabulary and grammar and are ready expand their skills in conversation. In this class, you’ll expand your knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and Deaf Culture. Our ASL III courses are taught by a native Deaf ASL signer who has extensive experience working in the outdoor fields, and will be able to adjust teaching styles and topics to fit the needs of the students. By the end of this course, students will be able to confidently have a conversation about outdoor topics or emergency situations like wilderness medicine, have a deeper understanding of Deaf culture and etiquette tailored to outdoor settings, and so much more.
