ASL II- Class C T/T 6-7pm
This course meets on Tuesday – Thursday 6-7 pm EST for 10-weeks starting on September 7th and ending on November 11th. With a make up course day schedule for November 15th, if needed.
American Sign Language II students will refine their use of basic sentence types and try out their skills through interactions, such as giving and receiving directions. Our ASL II courses are taught by a native Deaf ASL signer who has extensive experience working in the outdoor fields and will be able to adjust teaching styles and topics to fit the students’ needs. By the end of this course, students will be able to confidently carry on conversations on topics that are commonly discussed in the outdoors, expand their extensive outdoor-related vocabularies, communicate more efficiently in emergencies like wilderness medicine, a more advanced understanding of ASL grammar and syntax, Deaf culture and etiquette tailored to outdoor settings, and so much more.
This course will meet for one-hour long class twice per week and have a maximum of eight students.
